This month’s winner is Robert. Robert has great experience in the retail tobacco industry and wrote to us with some praise, and a great product suggestion! He would love to see a tabletop cutter from XIKAR for some new business and leisure developments and we would love to get him one! While product design and manufacturing is very expensive and time consuming, we love to receive suggestions like this from our valued customers. Our designers are drawing some concepts and while can’t make any guarantees, we will always continue to seek suggestions and communication with you, our valued customers. Below is a selection of Robert’s incredible explanation of what XIKAR has done for his business. It is associates like Robert that make this business so wonderful! “Selling the cutters was very easy. I simply shared my own personal experience: I always said that I would never spend $50-$60 on a cutter (never mind spending $1,000/month on cigars). I went on and on, trying to properly cut super-premium cigars with $2 plastic cutters. I never tried one of your cutters. Finally one day I found what at the time was an unheard of deal: an Xi2 for less than $30 I figured I would give it a try. I have never used a different brand of cutter since. Many customers could relate to the same feelings of not wanting to spend any money on accessories, yet at the same time, spending considerable amounts of money on cigars, which they often ruined with inferior cutters. Before I knew it we could not keep any XIKAR cutters in stock. With friends and associates, I have put my own reputation and money on the line, swearing by your products. I promised many people that if they were not satisfied with their purchase of a Xikar cutter, then I would pay them what they paid for it. No one has ever taken me up on the offer to buy the cutter from them.” Thanks for your support Robert and enjoy the hat!
Just west of downtown Kansas City, XIKAR leads all operations from the historic Kansas City Stock Exchange Building. Pictured here in the 1930's, the thriving stock yards ran all the way to the building which produced an aroma-filled workplace for cattle traders from all over the country. Today the updated building boasts a Kansas City steak institution: The Golden Ox (mentioned below) but still maintains a classic interior that XIKAR is glad to call home. The Golden Ox Restaurant opened its doors in May of 1949. The restaurant's purpose was simply to furnish a good place to dine for the ranchers, farmers, and their wives who brought their livestock to the stockyards, featuring the then and now World- famous Kansas City Steak. Mr. Jay Dillingham, President and Chairman of the Board of the Kansas City Stockyards Company, founded the restaurant. The Stockyards Company's insistence on the best quality for customers made the GoldenOx an instant success. Of course, their experience and knowledge of beef were also big assets. Today the stockyards are gone, but the tradition lives on. The Golden Ox Restaurant is a big part of that tradition, located on the first floor of the Livestock Exchange Building in the heart of the stockyards. Our professional staff serves the highest quality steaks and The Golden Ox is one of the few restaurants that continues to have its steaks aged and hand cut. Visit the Golden Ox Restaurant and discover the real reason Kansas City is famous for it's steaks!

After a night out at a steakhouse or grilling at home with friends, the most relaxing moment of the evening often comes with the lighting of a cigar. But, WHICH cigar is the question! For those looking for something complimentary to a steak dinner, our experts recommend keeping your selection in the full body category. Listed below are some examples:
As with any food and drink combination, trust your palate over any others! Tastes are often subjective when it comes to complimentary gourmet food, drink and smoke, so there is no right answer but personal taste.
