Dear XIKAR Friend, Spring is here in Kansas City and XIKAR has moved to new world headquarters! We want to celebrate by offering you a chance to win the first of many XIKAR prize packs. Here is a quick bio that Daniel was kind enough to write: "I live in Sarasota, Florida and grew up in St. Petersburg, FL. I'm a techie and have owned my own technology consulting company since 1997. Prior to that I worked in banking and finance for 24 years. My hobbies are reading, gourmet cooking (a group of us cater for benefit of a local non-profit organization) and NASCAR (my favorite track is Bristol, where I was born). My all time cigar pick is an A. Fuente Don Carlos belicoso but I also enjoy Macanudo Gold, Diamond Crown and Rocky Patel Vintage. I own 2 travel humidors and a half dozen cigar cases but the Xikar cigar case is by far the best! It protects my stogies and keeps them fresh. Xikar cutters do most of my pre-enjoyment clipping (I have three) even though I own numerous others. My Xikar lighter lights every time! So you've purchased either a XIKAR Travel or Dresser Organizer / Humidor and you want to be sure that those perfectos will smoke just right when the time comes to sit back and relax. Don't be confused by the dizzying array of advice that is floating around. Just remember these few basic steps before filling your humidor and it will stay at peak performance:
A quick note about PG: PG is commonly referred to as "activator solution". It helps your humidor reach the preferable 70% humidity point and depending on the weather and humidity, should only be used every 3 to 6 months. Never use this solution exclusively.
